sh,
I agree that dissenters should be responded to fairly. I have found the last month or so very valuable as a lot of important questions have been raised and answers offered. There are still important questions such as the scalability but I am more comfortable now than two months ago.
However not all dissenters are alike. Remember HungryLion? He had a very few interesting questions but the bulk of his posting consisted of manipulative use of information.
Graystone is also a different case. He may have good questions and I tried reading his posts early on. But he started posting these longwinded, obtuse epistles loaded with weird metaphors. I lost patience trying to wade through all of the extraneous nonsense and lost all interest in trying to read his posts. I spent most of my life in NYC. It is well known that NYC has more than it's fair share of eccentrics who are barely rational roaming the streets. You figure out early on that it is best to avoid eye contact. Avoiding eye contact, hitting the next button. Same problem, same strategy.
