Turing's homosexuality finally get's outed, and he's sentenced to chemical castration 'hormonal therapy' by the Brits in the early '50's. It impairs his mind, and he kills himself.

He had invented the computer. You have to wonder how much faster it would have developed had he been left alone and allowed to continue his work.


There is no doubt that the Brit's actions set the world back significantly. The Brits would likely have occupied a different role in the evolution of technology had they not persecuted Turing. I noticed in the news the last couple of days the Turing family is organizing a protest demanding pardons for 49,000 homosexuals who were treated similarly at that time.

Turing was so far ahead of most everyone else that it is hard to imagine what might have been. I haven't seen that movie but intend to.
