High aspect ratio. Makes for a thick chip deep cravasses I guess. Deposition problems?
It was interesting about the difficulties polishing mirrors accurate enough to focus synchrotron radiation. Thereby allowing use of a larger mask with less aspect ratio (New York sky line). I remember hand polishing and testing an astronomical mirror to "1/4 wave" with homemade gear, so what's the big problem polishing finer when you've got mega bucks? I don't remember what the wave length was. But I suppose it gets tough if they are getting to near molecular tolerances. What would the future geometry size be in relation to a visible light wave.
