In Changing News Landscape, Even Television is VulnerableTrends in News Consumption: 1991-2012

Most interesting table:

I was eight in 1956. We received three TV channels. All three broadcast national news shows at 5:30 PM. Watch Cronkite, Huntley-Brinkley, or (?) Douglas Edwards. I developed a loyalty for Huntley-Brinkley and watched them until Brinkley retired, actually continued watching Dan Rather a couple more years. Oops, Huntley-Brinkley was NBC, Dan Rather CBS. Found other things to do after a couple years of Rather.

Kids since 1960 have had lots more channels to watch, things to do. Haven't been properly indoctrinated to love Anglo-Saxon capitalism?
