Chickens Come Home to Roost… Jeremiah Wright’s Daughter Is Sent to Prison

In September 2013, Jeri Wright, daughter of Reverend “God Damn America” Wright, and 12 other Democrats were charged with embezzling $16 million in Federal health grants that should have gone to AIDS charities and other programs for the poor and needy.

More than one of the defendants had direct ties to President Barack Obama.

In March 2014 Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s daughter Jeri was found guilty on eleven counts that included money laundering and lying to federal agents.

This week US District Judge Sue E. Myerscough sent Jeri Wright to prison.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported:

Jeri L. Wright, the daughter of President Barack Obama’s former pastor, is headed to jail after a federal judge on Monday revoked a deal that allowed her to remain free as she awaits sentencing on a money-laundering conviction.

U.S. District Judge Sue E. Myerscough ruled that there was probable cause to believe that Wright committed a theft while she was free on bail and ordered Wright detained by U.S. marshals in Springfield, according to Sharon Paul, a spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney’s office in the Central District of Illinois.

Wright’s attorney, Victor P. Henderson, could not immediately be reached for comment.

New York Times Worried That Allowing Cubans to Have More Money Will Increase ‘Income Inequality’No, I’m not making that up

Shows how far left the NYT is. And shows where the left's "income inequality" politics leads .... shared misery.

Matt Welch|

Feb. 24, 2015 2:38 pm

As if to unintentionally discredit the phrase "income inequality" as a meaningful indicator of human regress, The New York Times today has a remarkable article lamenting that " As Cuba Shifts Toward Capitalism, Inequality Grows More Visible." Here's a taste:

As Cuba opens the door wider to private enterprise, the gap between the haves and have-nots — and between whites and blacks — that the revolution sought to diminish is growing more evident. […]

Raising the [U.S.] remittance cap, along with allowing more Americans to visit Cuba and other steps toward normal diplomatic relations, will help "support the Cuban people," the Obama administration contends.

But some will enjoy that support more than others. Cuban economists say that whites are 2.5 times more likely than blacks to receive remittances, leaving many in crumbling neighborhoods like Little Swamp nearly invisible in the rise of commerce, especially the restaurants and bed-and-breakfasts that tourists tend to favor.

"Remittances have produced new forms of inequality, particularly racial inequality," said Alejandro de la Fuente, director of the AfroLatin American Research Institute at Harvard University.

Pachauri’s full resignation letter here.

Climate Depot’s Morano statement on Pachauri’s resignation: ‘The IPCC is quietly popping champagne corks today. Pachauri gone can only be good news for the UN IPCC’ – Marc Morano: ‘If Pachauri had any decency, he would have resigned in the wake of the Climategate scandal which broke in 2009. Climategate implicated the upper echelon of UN IPCC scientists in attempting to collude and craft a narrative on global warming while allowing no dissent. Or Pachauri could have resigned when he wished skeptics would rub asbestos on their faces or conceded that the IPCC was at the ‘beck and call’ of governments. There were so many opportunities to to the right thing and fade away. But it took the proceedings of the Indian court system over the allegations of sexual harassment to finally bring Pachauri down. Things can only be looking up for the UN IPCC now that it has ridded itself of this political and ethical cancer.’

Concealed Carrier Steps In, Saves Woman From Carjacking Fugitive In Utah

Posted by Bob Owens on May 3, 2015 at 12:35 pm

A 31-year-old concealed carrier is being hailed as a hero in Orem, Utah, after stepping in to stop an attempted carjacking committed by a Democratic man with felony warrants who was attempting to escape from police.

The incident started when police were called to the report of a fight, and five Democratic suspects—three men and two women—fled in a vehicle, nearly striking a pedestrian as they drove across a grassy area as they made their escape. The vehicle stopped a short distance away after striking a curb, and four suspects fled on foot, while the fifth stole a pickup truck from a nearby home. The truck thief then drove to a nearby store and attempted to carjack a more suitable getaway vehicle:

“Subject gets out of the truck, goes over and pulls the lady out of the silver Mercedes, starts to get in the car, she’s screaming for help,” said Captain Ned Jackson of the Orem Police Department.

The suspect attempted to carjack the woman in a Mercedes at about 11:18 a.m., and that’s when a shopper, so far only identified as a 31-year-old male, confronted the suspect.

“Our citizen goes up at gun point, has him get out of the car, the guy gets out of the car,” Jackson said. “The suspect lunged and tried to get the gun from him, so at that point he’s trying to protect himself and shoots the gentleman.”

[ I object to inappropriate use of the term "gentleman." It should read "Democratic scumbag." ]

Police said the shopper, who had a concealed carry permit, was threatened and fired his weapon.

The suspect, who police have not yet identified, suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to Utah Valley Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police say the man had several felony warrants. Officers are actively searching for the other two suspects involved in the original incident.

The man who shot and killed the attempted carjacker will not face charges. Under Utah law citizens are justified in stopping criminals attempting a forcible felony.

The carjacker should have surrendered to the concealed carrier or simply run off, at which point the concealed carrier would have simply had to let him go. The criminal obviously wasn’t that smart, however, and attempted to disarm the concealed carrier, which turned out to be his final mistake.

As the case in on-going and two of the males suspects who fled the fight (and cravenly ditched their women) are still being actively sought.

The woman whom the suspect tried to carjack was not injured.

Concealed Carrier Kills Democratic Armed Robber In East Houston

Posted by Bob Owens on May 1, 2015 at 9:05 am

The east Houston armed robber had this gun at the head of a check-cashing store employee’s head, but didn’t get a shot off before the employee drew his own concealed weapon and ended the threat.

A Houston Democratic robber won the “Room Temperature Challenge” yesterday when he attempted to rob an employee walking to the entrance of a check cashing store. The robber apparently thought that the bag the employee had under his arm as he walked to the store was a money bag.

It wasn’t.

Officers were called to the Ruiz Cash n Carry store in the 1700 block of Sgt. Macario Garcia at Ave Q around 8:30am this morning.

Police say the store employee was about to enter into the store with a bag under his arm when a man approached him from behind and pointed a gun at him, demanding the bag, possibly thinking there was cash inside.

The employee, who also had a concealed handgun license was able to turn to his own gun, pull it out and fire four shots at the man. Two or three of those shots hit the man in the chest area.

“From what I gather is that when the employee went to open the door, the gun was already put at the back of his head, and so, I don’t know what words were exchanged, but at this point the investigation is still ongoing, they’re still talking to him (the store employee) and he turned around and saw the suspect had a gun.”

The employee—who was only carrying a toiletries bag with is medications inside—is incredibly lucky. He didn’t know the armed robber was there until he was in a very bad position with a gun to the back of his head, and yet somehow not only was able to access and draw his own concealed handgun and fire off four shots, but he also hit the bad guy center-mass with 2-3 of them without the bad guy getting off a single shot of his own.

The bad guy died where he fell.

We’d never recommend attempting to draw your weapon when someone already has the drop on you, unless you are almost certain that the robber is going to attempt to kill you anyway and you don’t have the option to or ability to run. That said, this is the second defensive gun use we’ve read about this year (the attempted pharmacy robbery in West Virginia was the other one) where a concealed carrier draw his weapon and defeated an armed robber who already had the drop on him.

Once again, a concealed carrier has ended the career of an armed robber and the mainstream media (not including the local stations) refuses to even consider the theory that armed citizens thwart crimes.

It’s a good thing that we know better, isn’t it?

Denied a Chance: How gun control helped a Democratic stalker murder my husband

“For Nikki Goeser it was a day like any other ... with one exception. Her husband, Ben, had only 16 hours to live. On that fateful day in Tennessee, the man she loved would be murdered by a beast who was stalking her. In compliance with state law Nikki had left her legal firearm locked in the car. With the help of legislatively created pistol free zones, one evil man gunned down Nikki’s husband as she was forced to look on, alone, defenseless and disarmed by an ill-conceived law designed to save her. Read this inspiring story of courage through remorse, as one woman struggles to seek justice for the man she loves. Follow Nikki Goeser as she fights to ensure that others are never held victim to the same terrible fate.”

From Luby's to the Legislature: One Woman's Fight Against Gun Control

On October 16, 1991, Suzanna Gratia Hupp witnessed the tragic shooting of 23 people at Luby’s Cafeteria in Killeen, Texas, among them her parents. Ironically she had decided against carrying a small revolver—that could have dramatically changed the day's events—in her purse that day out of a fear of losing her chiropractor’s license if caught possessing a weapon. In this autobiography, she chronicles her evolution from a small-town chiropractor into a national icon for the right to armed self-defense. Her transformation into a high-profile, gun-rights activist began when her impassioned calls for the right of citizens to carry guns for self-protection thrust her into the middle of the gun-control debate. She repeatedly testified under oath against the ineffectiveness of gun-control laws that, in her opinion, disarmed law-abiding citizens, making them potential victims of criminals who did not obey the law. This position on gun legislation paved the way for a decade-long tenure as a member of the Texas House of Representatives, where, in addition to championing Second Amendment and privacy rights, she served as a member of the House Rural and Veterans and Military Affairs Caucuses, Chair of the House Select Committee on Child Welfare and Foster Care, and Chair of the Human Services Committee.

‘God Bless America’ – Song and Prayer Break Out During Garland Shooting Lockdown

Breitbart Texas/Bob Price

by Bob Price4 May 2015Garland, TX 96

GARLAND, Texas – Spontaneous song and prayer broke out while attendees of the Mohammad Art Exhibit and Contest were on lockdown. Shortly after the shooting began outside, attendees were taken into an area described by police SWAT officers as a “hardened shelter,” and told to remain there until the threat was neutralized.

About twenty minutes into this security lockdown, a woman produced an American flag, and the crowd broke out in song. “God Bless America,” they sang with pride.

[iframe width="550" height="413" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pkfX-BBzaCk?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"][/iframe]

This was followed by the National Anthem, as the singers rose to salute the Star-Spangled Banner.

Many of the attendees were military veterans who proudly saluted the flag they took an oath to defend. Chants of “USA, USA, USA” could be heard throughout the arena after the songs concluded.

Following the songs, two members of the group led prayers for the security officer who had been shot in the ankle, and for the officers protecting the group against further attacks.

Woman leads attendees in prayer. Breitbart Texas photo by Lana Shadwick.

Breitbart Texas reporters Lana Shadwick and Merrill Hope were with this writer during the incident, which began at the conclusion of the art exhibit. It appears the attack by the two gunmen may have been timed to coincide with the end of the event, when a large number of people would have been departing the venue, providing a dense field of unwitting targets.

The event began later than scheduled, so most people were still inside as shooting began. Several attendees heard the gunfire, but it does not appear that any actually witnessed the shooting.
