Herm: Whew.. I have my work cut out for me.

You have opened my eyes to many web sites to look into. I graciously
thank you for this support.

In terms of strategy, I have none as of now. Unfortunetly I too am heavy
into tech stocks. You know what is happening to those babies.

Thanks again

Herm,

Concerning expiration and theta values:

I'm thinking of writing January calls on the day December calls expire, 12/19. Theta value is shown as -0.06. Assuming stock price doesn't move, can I expect the premium to drop by about an eighth of a point by the following Monday? Will the theta change significantly when January becomes the front month?

Thanks in advance...

B4

To All:

Herm has mentioned a great website for CCs:

coveredcalls.com

It needs to be pointed out that the premium percentages listed on this site are using last trade price on the option, not necessarily the bid price if you were to be writing calls. Other than that, this site is invaluable for finding good CC stocks.

Just a "heads up"...

Herm,

This might be a better alternative to alphachart:
