Wow! That's some nugget. I'm sure the more they learn the better
their results will be. Those flakes add up over time, at least I hope so.
:)

I learned that claims on BLM land aren't terribly expensive. About
$300/yr., iirc. Gotta learn some geology to know where to look.

I attended the GPAA Gold & Treasure Show in Mesa, AZ last
weekend. Lots of things to see. Several seminars, lots of vendors
selling everything from sample bottles, to pans, to dredges, sluices
and metal detectors. Lots of drawings, if you take the time to fill out
free raffle tickets.

Spent a couple hours there, and left with a book about Lost Mines
of the Southwest.

It wouldn't be difficult to make one's own sluice box, if there's a
good scrap metal yard nearby. That was my first impression.
Could probably save $300 and stay out of trouble, too!
