1. He claimed he was in a war zone during the Falklands war.
2. He claimed he saw those nuns shot in El Salvador.
3. He claimed he was knocking on the door when that friend of Oswald shot himself.
4. He claimed that he and others were pelted by rocks and debris during the LA riots.

There probably are more. He sort of addressed the first one by claiming the protest turned riot made Buenos Aires a war zone. Uh huh. The second he claims that he saw some photos and that was the same as witnessing the murders. That one is pathetic. He wisely has refrained from addressing the other two. It would be hard to explain how he could have knocked on a door in Florida from Dallas, for example..

I think this establishes a pattern of trying to insert himself into events that he didn't actually experience. Given that he was a journalist at the time, well...
