The travesty is ISPs holding services hostage unless ransoms are paid. Shaking down companies like Netflix is just wrong. They charge us to provide access and charge extra if we want speedier service. Then they want to charge providers if we try to use the speedier service. That is the road to ossified monopolies because only the most successful content providers can afford those extra fees. Want to kill the Internet? Just keep going down that road.
