Nasdaq over 5000 today, straight up since President Obama took over the Oval Office in 2009 and got the Stimulus passed over repug opposition. What was happening when he took office?...GDP falling at rate of 8.6%, 750,000 Americans losing their jobs per month, housing industry over the cliff, American auto industry in free fall, banking/financial industry in chaos...fortunately American Seniors had Social Security and Medicare and Fixed Pensions provided and pushed by Progressive Democratic Governments to ride out the repug storm. Today, 201ks back up to 401ks but unfortunately corporations took away their employee fixed pensions but left them for senior execs, unemployment rates now back to 5.5%, auto industry setting record sales, housing industry coming back, troops out of Iraq slaughter house and $3 Trillion money pit created by repugs and finally reducing Afghan presence. And what are the repugs doing now?...in the most disrespectful way have the foreign leader of another country come here and dispute our President's and Country's foreign policies because he wants WAR (if the Dems did something such as this, the repugs would be yelling TREASON). And what else are they doing?...refusing to fund the government department they agreed to create to keep us SECURE. And oh yes, they are determined to eliminate health care for Americans with pre existing conditions (let them die quickly) and millions of Americans who for the first time have affordable health care insurance. OHMIGOSH
