WHAT monopoly position? I live 10 miles in the country and I have at least 3-4 choices of high-speed Internet providers.

No ISP I know of has told you you can't use the bandwidth you purchase in any way you choose. Mine certainly doesn't, although they do limit upload speeds as most of them do.

When have you been told how you can use the bandwidth you purchase?
