Seems like a common thread shared among many here is a strong sense of DIY approaches to many facets of life and a general avoidance of working for other people, along with strong desire to keep learning about important things like investing and retirement planning. I need to get more involved with other activities -- especially when I retire -- along the lines of what you do in Vietnam. I used to do quite a bit, but dropped off after our daughter was born -- time to back to it.
