My broker told me that PDG was a great buy at 30.00. I should have learned some time ago that when all the brokers are shouting something is going up, it's time to get out. I just talked to Sophie. No new news. for what it is worth, this is the gist of the conversation. They need 5 ft of ice for the drills. Ice is forming slowly but forming. She thinks the winter road will be ready in early Feb. WSP has a rig on stie so they can start once the ice is ready and don't hve to wait for the road. They're going to need one or two cats and a backhoe to do the bulk sample ofthe dike. Because WSP is off the winter road some distance, they'll have to walk the equipment in. That can take a week. They're going to do a 10-20 ton sample. The road is going to frntically busy with a truck leaving every fifteen minutes. Right now they have 6 hours of daylight.There's a crew working there now. Getting a head start. The African deal is still being discussed. Nothing is finalized. They've got a lot of people coming throughthe door suggesting joint ventures but they're not rushing into anything. The African property jv was formed years ago. They're being really careful with the $$. The company has received a number of recommendations in the last while. There's obviously interest from newsletter writers and analysts. I hope I got this al right. I just had a couple of minutes before I dashed away for a meeting. I don't think there was anything said that I didn't already know. I was most concerned about a starting date because of the warm weather. Sophie thought they'd start about the same time as last year.If there's anything here that isn't right, then correct it. It'll be my rushed n ote taking, not Sophie that's to blame. fifteen minutes.
