OFF SUBJECT If you want to make a bet on long term interest rates and yet still get your capital back eventually, check out zero coupon Treasuries -- American Century Benham Target Maturity Trust 2020 is what I have used. Personally, I think US interest rates are too high, and the SE Asian problem is an additional factor helping keep US inflation low. Japan, SE Asia, and much of Europe show very low inflation and economic growth now. Eventually this tends to be imported into the USA.
