Yes, that could very well be the case for those oil related stocks and where they are with regard to the current, and historically low, oil price.

I just have a view with regard to the "Value theory" where it's assumed by some that if the Book Value per share is higher than the current share price, that the price will rise due to the fact that the company will be currently regarded as being "undervalued".

Personally, I believe a lot more thought needs to be put into the current business performance of a company as reflected in its relevant financials and a decision made from that sort of information with regard to whether or not it's a buy. I believe that is the approach that Buffett has taken over the decades.
