You'd better know your history, when serfs & peasants revolted in the changing landscape of England in 1400, we weren't to see the same thing happen in Russia till the 1800s. Of course it has everything to do with it, don't be a ninny, that's a 400yr span of persisting conditions of oppressed peoples of the worst kind.

Start with the Peasant Revolt which totally took them by surprise, but of course it was right at the beginning of the 100yrs War, another power struggle of the Noble classes.
