When Bush was in office Putin wasn't taking Ukraine and flying bombers over Europe without their transponders on.

No, Putin was taking Ossetia, not the Ukraine, while Bush looked the other way. Putin does one country at a time......much like Hitler.

It's difficult to say whether Russia's actions are indicative of the personalities of U.S. Presidents or just the volatility of Putin himself, but Obama hasn't really given any real vibe that he won't put up with stuff.

Whether it's accurate or not Putin may be getting the impression that Obama is an easy mark.

In the beginning when he annexed Crimea, I think he thought Obama was an easy mark and he would own the Ukraine by now.
