Allen, thanks for your response. I fixed the problem by erasing the backup job on the disk. I then backed-up again on the same disk, and the problem went away. So, I must assume some sort of S/W glitch caused the problem. I'll check the restore function over the next few weeks to ensure the problem doesn't reoccur. Since I backup daily, I didn't lose any data by erasing my backup job.

I'll check out the One Step update at IOM's web site.
