Is it possible that Nortel is going to steal GTE from WSTL. I do not believe that Nortel is with WSTL any more. Most of the recent press releases no longer list the Nortel as a partner. I think after the Bell Canada loss they went there separate ways.

Any thoughts.

Thanks for the reminder Bill. I forgot about the Nortel/Netspeed relationship. Sorry for the confusion. I was recalling a number of announcements over the last year about Nortel's ATM/Service Controller interoperability with Westell's DSLAM/ATU-R.

I asked my Amati friends if this was something Westell should have had and was told no. This refers to the ONU DLC-type unit in neighborhoods.

I guess other than that, the PR tells us GTE's getting ready for high-speed copper. That's got to be good news.
