Exactly, read the whole article you just posted and you'll get the message, that while the Germans may have been as close as the US back in the early 40s, the effort of their scientists were thwarted by AH himself, who always knew better by instinct. Also a serious sabotage act against their rail way tanker transport of heavy water (D2O) from the Norwegian Rjukan power plants seriously delayed any ambitions they would still have had. (A movie documents that case, BTW). /Taro
