And its perfectly natural for you to believe this way, none the less Mohammad is regarded as the chosen prophet in the same light of human perfection & wisdom. Osama Bin Laden saw the value of perfecting his own image by emulating Mohammad by doing such things as eating the leftovers of other men's plates & later even offering to convert George Bush to the true faith of Islam. This was something that Mohammad commanded, that all unbelievers be offered the chance 'to see the light' ( before being put to the sword.)

This image making worked only so much but what turned out to be good for us was many Afghani's resented these Saudi Arab Muslims in their presence. In this case the tribalism worked in our favor. Be like the prophet, do as the Koran says & your place in heaven is assured after death.

Of note, i believe it was Shakespeare that refered to 'death' as that undiscovered territory, ie 'LAND"

Yes, it was the 'Massacre of Verden' by Charlemagne in 782 of 4500 Saxon chiefs, there is a later tie-in with German nationalist movement in early 20th century culminating with the Nazi's commemorating it en.wikipedia.org

Islam is vastly different from Christianity. Compare Jesus with Mohammed.....That is easily done.

Its almost striking how similar both of these philosophers are but would be expected since Hebrews & Arabs came out of similar geographies & nearly the same type of tribal cultures. Once you get past the tribal fables that get made up much later, they both were bedouin grazing peoples, with clans always in a constant state of war with each other.

Once your thinking matures & you start to see real history for what it is, without the clutter of apologetic whitewashed nonsense, these were fiercely territorial & jealous peoples. One goes back 1500 or 2000yrs these clans would be engaged in disputes over water wells, local oaisis or a trade route passage, which would cause tribal vendetta wars that would often last for ongoing generations.

Mohammad's philosophy/theology is borrowing heavily from his Hebrew cousins to the north, it was ready made & carried the flavor that would suit another semite easily with its conjured images of patriarchal histories of Abraham & especially Moses.

Mohammad's fledgling movement finds an early setback when his powerful protector uncle & wealthy wife both die, then he's forced to leave Mecca. Up to Medina who's people have asked him to come there because of his mediating skills & reputation for striking insight of fair judgement. And he does resolve their issues, for here we see the Arab 'Prince of Peace' just as Jesus was the same.

You understand why Islam spread so fast far & wide? It offered an equality under an imagined umbrella of this conjured idea that men create, the same imagery was supplied men's minds of an after life, the most powerful illusion, but what does that matter? Islam drew peoples under its wing & they flocked to it like wildfire. No longer scattered warring tribes but unified like the idea that was Rome, or the Greek/Hellenes, or as Egypt before.

Jesus & Mohammad are exactly the same, princes of peace in the eyes of their clansmen, this is very easy to see. Semite heros of & from the ME, finally bringing peace to these warring clans & tribes united under this gilded fantasy of 'Heaven' & 'God'.
