If you don't exit in a timely manner, some of your wealth will disappear in a severe downturn.

Well, of course, some of all of our wealth will disappear in a severe downturn, unless you're a short seller!

I would love to exit most of my investments in a timely manner just before a severe downturn. Hell, I'd love to exit all my investments a year before a severe downturn.

On the other hand, I want to be fully invested and perhaps on margin in the timely time just before the sharp unexpected upturn. Since it's unexpected, it's hard to figure out when that is.

And so, we wait to see what tomorrow will bring. Which brings me to a question

Futures seem to indicate the Nasdaq will open up 1.2% with the S&P flat do down a touch. Did some big tech stock have some nice upward move after the close on Monday? I looked at Apple and it wasn't it. Wondering if there is any reason for the divergence between Nasdaq and S&P futures?

Watch VXX, VIX for signs that the big money is on this page and ready to move the market lower! There will be advance indications when these "breakout" to the upside, IMO!

A bull market based on excess printed currency

breeze from a gnat wing brings it down.
