Well, I'm glad to see Reich starting to understand a little bit of what many of us have known for years.

Unfortunately, the most important thing our country could be doing to address this problem -- the move to online education in lieu of the outdated, idiotic university system -- has been set back by the Obama administration by continuing the idiotic funding of student loans.

In addition, he has foolishly increased the cost of hiring which has quickened the pace of the move to automation -- time which is sorely needed for retraining. The pace of the transition is already far outstripping the pace of retraining.

Markets will solve the problem as best it can be solved. One thing is certain: Government can only make it worse.

Bentway, around the time of the Industrial Revolution, the same damn arguments have been made in support of communism. Industrialization concentrates profits into the hands of the few; therefore, we need to redistribute the wealth.

Didn't work then, won't work in the future, but that won't stop the left from trying over and over again expecting a different result.
