So the argument is that MSFT should never be allowed to integrate funciton into the OS? Perhaps we should back out the TCP/IP stack so that we can all go back to running Trumpet? Or support for large disks, or any of the hundreds of other functional improvements that have been made over the years.

Should NSCP be allowed to subsume the functions formerly provided by plug-ins or other third-party software? Should Eudora get DoJ to stop folks from providing e-mail support because they have a product which does that? Where does it end?
