No one is talking about "socialist stuff" when the Democrats [only] in Congress vote to take money from those who earned it and give it to those who didn't?

Classical socialism has the means of production owned by government. But there are transition stages in which more of the means of production are controlled by government (e.g., health insurance company profits are limited and a dictator illegally injects taxpayer capital into said companies). These things start to resemble socialism and worse.

We are moving pretty rapidly toward dictatorship. Whether the American people can stop it I do not know. The president's idiotic talk about mandating that people vote is another step in that direction.

Ted,
No one is talking about 'socialist stuff'.
All this talk about the "one percent" and how the rich shouldn't be getting richer is socialist stuff.

All this talk about universal health care is socialist stuff.

All this talk about government passing more and more regulations and interfering with the free market, which liberals don't believe in, is socialist stuff.
