Off topic: Can anyone accurately predict, based on options data, where stock prices will likely close on options expiration Friday? Is it really true that MM's intentionally try to get the stock price to close at a particular strike price so that the most options will expire worthless? I keep hearing this type of talk, and not being experienced in the options arena, I wanted to know if the above was true or not. Also what I keep hearing is that the market on the following Monday tends to move in the opposite direction of Friday. Are all of these notions supported by hard historical data, or is this all jibberish? Is it kind of like commodities trading where there are so many variables involved that it is almost impossible to predict? ...like gambling?

Just curious...
