In his March 16th column, the black liberal journalist wrote, “they have…forced me to deal with two uncomfortable truths: Brown never surrendered with his hands up, and Wilson was justified in shooting Brown.” Yes, truth is a very uncomfortable thing, and the fact that Capehart is willing to take a principled stand is admirable. Not surprisingly, his commentary was attacked by some who felt he was pandering to whites. But here on allenbwest.com we are all too familiar with those sorts of salvos. The truth is very difficult to bear for those who make a living on falsehoods (Rev. Al, I’m looking at you).
