I got my woodstove several years go along with federal tax break for being 70% efficient. There must be difference between 70 % efficient and reducing air particles by 70%.

Kind of silly anyway because the particles released are more a result in how you burn rather than what stove it is burnt in. I can fill the air with particles from even the best of stoves.

I don't want you thrown in jail, Rat, even if you do heat your shack with old growth redwood.

Not to worry; I don't often heat the house, but, when I do, I burn oak and madrone, from deadfalls. Boy, has it been a hot winter. Think I've only made 5 or 6 fires.

Only EPA certified devices, or pellet stoves, can be installed in single or two family dwellings in areas that are not part of a major subdivision created after 5/5/07.
