Eric, was that "Bearons"? Funny thing about this "news" of slowing earnings growth is that it's not news at all. I recall discussions on CNBC back in September or so about consensus estimates for the S&P 500 where putting together all the analyst estimates for the individual stocks resulted in single digit growth for '98 while the "strategists" were still calling for 12% or more.

Peter, don't be so sure about the Fidelities of the world staying in for the long haul. With the growing bearish tone out there, the high flyers are likely to be the first things they dump. BTW, no worries about gains taxes next year. There will be plenty of losses to offset.
