John, I just don't understand Microsoft's activities. I can't believe they underestimated the DOJ's competence or drive by so much. And I really can't believe that they're acting so arrogant with regards to the judges order. I've lived in the North West for several years, and have a lot of contacts within Microsoft, both personally and professionally. In the last year, I noticed that they have started to believe their own BS. I'm not sure why, but they started to treat the industry as a tree from which they always were entitled to the first fruits. They *were* going to destroy Java, they *were* going to destroy Netscape, they *were* going to take over on-line commerce-- but more than that, they practically said that the internet was their birthright. Thus, anything they did to get where they wanted to go was ok.
