Upper right hand corner of your page you will see a speaker, click on it and it will disable sounds.

Look at the top of the "SubjectMarks" page. Just to the left of the "search" and "discover" buttons, you will see a little speaker icon. Click that so the little red "x" appears and you will turn off the audio alerts.

Aggravating, aren't they?
