Sector,
Looks like you probably made a very good trade buying the 22 1/2's. There appears to be some pretty significant support for the stock at 21 1/4. Since the stock has given up so much, I doubt that there is much chance that it is going to break much below that.

S. Korea and Japan seem to be the real wild cards for this company and it will likely be a short period of time before we know what the cards will be played as. It seems that the new government in S. Korea, although they may not be 100% in favor of IMF conditions for a bail out, will have no choice but to go along with the them. Japan is taking steps in the right direction for improving their economy in a significant fashion, they just need to take a few more of them to ensure a true recovery.

The networking stocks made a very strong bounce off the bottom today but for some reason MRVC did not seem to go along with the bigger names like CSCO and BAY. Perhaps there will be a little lag and prices for MRVC will improve tomorrow. Todays action I believe was primarily due tripple witching expiration and with the S&P 500 contracts settled, tommorrow may be a brighter day.

Wayde.

Hello, Sector. At your invitation, I am here from the Depo Thread. Hope many of us never went to Depo. But, any way, like you said, we thought we did our study, the result is just unexpected. Life has to go on, and we have to keep seeking for winners in the future.

I am interested in MRVC. To begin with, I have a few questions.

1). What are the reasons of its recent drop since October ? Correction ? Warnings from peer group (COMS, BAY, etc) ? Impact of more shares issued ? Or if there is something more fundamentally alarming ?

2). Their sequential growth rate on a quarter to quarter basis seems slowing down, is this a factor in the share price ? What kind of revenue growth are we expecting in Q4 97 and year 98 ?

3). What make MRVC customers to buy from MRVC, instead of CSCO ?

I know there may be answers to my question already on this thread. But it's extremely hard to sought through 5,000 posts. I'd appreciate if you could describe some main points here.

Thanks,
Cymeed
