the part of your URL that has NFVDA is what transfers the link to ADVFN - IHUB (as you can see, its the same code only backwards).

There's some deal where SI agreed to work with ADVFN a while back and I think this is part of the legacy code. It does fool us....but now that we know to look for this when you "hover" over the link, I'll know not to click on any links that have the NFVDA in the URL. One extra step and an important one if you don't want to end up there. It has to do with traffic and "user clicks". ADVFN is trying to capture as many "views" as they can. Their statistics go up and they accumulate "unique visitors" to their data set.

Let's see if I got this correctly. There is someone who offers this service, that you can spoof your link, that looks different than where it takes you? I mean this was easy to do before but as long as you hoover your mouse over the link, you could see the real link in left bottom corner. But now this is spoofed as well? No that is bad! Now I will not trust ANY link any more. Who is offering this kind of service? Can you share the link?

I guess I will need to start running my browser in a sandbox where any action (click on link designed to infect your computer) is prevented from hurting your system.

Luckily I'm slowly migrating to Linux anyway, much safer that way....
