and reduced charges for all services,

Untrue

(the provider may even be required to offer certain services free of charge, like cleaning and checkups).

That's great for the bottom line. What services are now rendered (if needed) to make up that for huge loss at a 60-70% discount? How long do you think this can continue?

The provider agrees to charge reduced rates for those services, in exchange for the guarantee of payment for services by the insurer and/or the insured, and the regular, steady referral of clients from large pools.

Exactly why does this provider want steady referrals of clients that pay 60-70% less than a walk in?

Do you know the exact conversion figures to make up that amount with fee-for-service patients? If not, it's time that you shut your mouth and find out. You are illustrating your HMO idiocy.

The insurer negotiates very good deals for members of their networks.

That is true, and the best deal is for the insurer. The providers make out by not answering their phones, or give you an appointment once every 45 days.

C'mon genius, make my day with more of your dopey talk. You actually don't know shit.

How much income is there with 8 hours of free cleanings, and exams and x-rays, 2 or 3 days a week.
