Dentists' fees, like the price of hamburgers, is set by free markets which determine how much money a dentist will make based on supply and demand. So, the question is, if you and everyone else saves 60% by having a dental plan, where does that 60% come from? Thin air? And unless you have an answer, I will declare my previous statement to have been correct that insurance is not about saving money but about managing risk.
