Master Sgt. Mark Allen was paralyzed by a sniper’s bullet during a mission to find Bowe Bergdahl in Afghanistan back in 2009. Allen can’t speak and needs continual care as result of being shot in the head.

Along with millions of other Americans, his wife Shannon wants- and deserves- an explanation.

Mrs. Allen took to Facebook saying, "Meet my husband. Injuries directly brought to you by the actions of this traitor. He can’t give an account of what went down, because he can no longer speak. Now, which guy is a ‘hero’ again?!? Sick.”

Katie Pavlich: The deception of the Obama Department of Justice
..............................................................................................................................
The Hill ^ | April 6, 2015 | Katie Pavlich

Throughout Barack Obama’s tenure in the White House he’s been accused of leading a lawless presidency and cheapening the rule of law through his Department of Justice. Many say these accusations are simply based in politics, but a closer look at the way the Department of Justice has handled multiple cases in federal court suggest misleading or lying to judges is a habit, not a mistake.

Most recently, we’ve seen this happen in the case surrounding President Obama’s executive action on illegal immigration. Twenty-six states are suing against the action, and in February, U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Hanen issued a stay in the implementation of the order granting temporary amnesty and work permits to millions of illegal immigrants. Shortly after blocking the implementation, Hanen found out DOJ attorneys had issued false information to the court. He accused them of misleading the court because Immigration and Customs Enforcement, under DOJ guidance, had ignored his order to halt implementation and gave temporary amnesty and work permits to more than 100,000 people.

Hanen said during a contentious hearing in March that he fell for the DOJ’s arguments “like an idiot” and questioned if Obama could be trusted on the issue. Hanen is also weighing sanctions against the DOJ for its actions. Late last year, U.S. District Court Judge Francis Allegra accused DOJ attorneys of not only being misleading in their arguments but of defrauding the court in the case of retired Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent Jay Dobyns, in Jay Dobyns v. United States of America.

For some quick background, Dobyns sued the ATF after years of the agency ignoring death threats against his family and for framing him for the arson of his home. In August 2014 that lawsuit and trial came to an end with Allegra ruling in Dobyns’s favor and awarding him $173,000 in damages. In October 2014 Allegra obtained new evidence in the case, including information showing intimidation by the DOJ of a top witness, retracted his ruling and accused the DOJ of defrauding the court.

“On October 29, 2014, the court, invoking RCFC 60(b) and other provisions, issued an order voiding the prior judgment based upon indications that defendant, through its counsel, had committed fraud on the court,” Allegra wrote in an unsealed opinion from December 2014. “The Sixth Circuit has indicated that fraud on the court consists of conduct: 1. On the part of an officer of the court; 2. That is directed to the ‘judicial machinery’ itself; 3. That is intentionally false, willfully blind to the truth, or is in reckless disregard for the truth; 4. That is a positive averment or is concealment when one is under a duty to disclose; 5. That deceives the court.”

Defrauding charges are so severe that Allegra has ordered a special master to be appointed to the Dobyns case. It should be noted that the appointment of a special master is rare.

When it was discovered in 2013 that the Justice Department was monitoring the private phone lines and emails of Fox News chief Washington correspondent James Rosen and his parents, there were many questions surrounding how the DOJ was able to get approval from a judge to do. The department claimed in an affidavit that Rosen was a criminal co-conspirator who had potentially broken the law and committed a crime for seeking classified information from a source. But when the DOJ was caught monitoring him, it argued plans to prosecute Rosen were never in the works. Did DOJ attorneys lie to a federal judge about the “criminal co-conspirator” classification in order to get court approval to monitor him and his sources? With the department’s history, it certainly isn’t out of the question.

Moving forward, attorney general nominee Loretta Lynch will certainly have to answer for the cases above and explain how judges can continue to trust DOJ attorneys in court.

“A Federal judge wrote that DOJ attorneys attempted to perpetrate a ‘fraud upon the court’ in a case involving Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Agent Jay Dobyns. U.S. District Court Judge Francis Allegra also took the unusual steps of submitting these findings to Attorney General [Eric] Holder,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) asked Lynch earlier this year as part of her confirmation process. “If confirmed will you personally review Judge Allegra’s submission to ensure that appropriate disciplinary action in taken in this case, and will you pledge to provide updates to this committee about the status?”

Lynch has said she isn’t familiar with specific cases, but promised to look into any misconduct should she be confirmed as attorney general.

Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice has been willing to mislead federal judges, ignore court orders and allegedly defraud the court so long as political goals of the White House are reached. This is the rule, not the exception.

Eric Holder’s legacy - Race was always at the core of his agenda

..........................................................................................
The Washington Times ^ | April 23, 2015 | J. Christian Adams

Alas, the Eric Holder era is over. But critics who think his departure means normalcy will return haven’t been paying attention. Mr. Holder was President Obama’s point man for fundamentally transforming the country, and he did his job well.

At the center of Mr. Holder’s transformative agenda was race. Race has always occupied Mr. Holder’s attention; he once said, “There’s a common cause that bonds the black United States attorney with the black criminal.”

In what could have been a presidency where race faded into America’s rear-view mirror, Mr. Holder turned race into the road map.

It all started in 2009 when I was at the Department of Justice. I witnessed a new way of looking at the law. To Mr. Holder and his newly empowered progressive lawyers, the law was a mere suggestion, not a constraining force.

When the Justice Department dismissed my voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party, it was the first inkling this was no ordinary attorney general. Worse yet, after the dismissal, Mr. Holder presided in meetings of Civil Rights Division managers cooking up plans to oust managers who dared to enforce civil rights laws against black defendants.

But the New Black Panther mess was just the beginning.

The Justice Department Civil Rights Division — something Mr. Holder explicitly said would be the focus of his tenure — became an engine of fundamental transformation. It became the taxpayer-fueled command center for the progressive left.

Radical policies, laughable just a decade ago, began to appear in the form of a federal fist.

When a New York high school prohibited boys from dressing like drag queens — wearing pink wigs and stiletto heels — Mr. Holder’s Justice Department forced the Mohawk Central School District to capitulate. Mr. Holder imposed $75,000 annual transvestite sensitivity training on the school for good measure.

Mr. Holder’s Civil Rights Division turned the Americans with Disabilities Act into a federal mandate forcing restaurants, hotels and other public accommodations into allowing miniature horses, pigs and ferrets in as emotional support animals.

When South Carolina and other states enacted photo voter identification laws, Mr. Holder sprang into action and turned the Justice Department into a base-mobilization organization for the president’s re-election in 2012.

Mr. Holder’s opposition to election integrity demonstrates the confluence of race and politics. He conjured all of the morally sacred language of the civil rights movement in the 1960s and employed it recklessly against voter ID.

He compared voter ID to a poll tax, even though courts had specifically rejected such a false comparison.

Just before Christmas in 2011, black voters were unexcited about Mr. Obama. So Mr. Holder launched a government-driven campaign against voter ID in South Carolina and activated a moribund political base for the president’s re-election. Without a racially polarized and activated base, Mr. Obama could not have won in 2012.

Mr. Holder was an attorney general not beyond using scare tactics against minorities to win re-election.

His scare tactics and bullying showed up again in places like Sanford, Florida, and Ferguson, Missouri.

In both places, Mr. Holder’s hasty rhetoric gave comfort to mobs, first against George Zimmerman and then against Officer Darren Wilson. Contrary to tradition at the Justice Department, Mr. Holder brazenly took sides before any investigation was commenced. He went to Ferguson to announce what everybody knew — “I am a black man,” he told the protesters.

Once again, Mr. Holder’s job was to scare and mobilize minorities.

Of course, we now know Mr. Holder’s appearance in Ferguson was just racial theater. The “hands up, don’t shoot” narrative was a lie. But that didn’t matter at the time. Short memories mean the mob grew agitated, and forgot.

What doesn’t have a short life is Mr. Holder’s transformation of the Department of Justice. He has allowed an ideological hiring campaign to take place to fill the rank-and-file with leftist lawyers. When the Justice Department inspector general urged the administration to abandon the use of any perceived ideological litmus tests — such as only hiring lawyers from left-wing civil rights groups — Mr. Holder rejected the request.

Give the devil his due. Holder was a fighter for the left. Department of Justice misbehavior, which would shame previous attorneys general, only seemed to embolden this man. His departure might relieve many, but his legacy should frighten us all.

J. Christian Adams is a former Justice Department lawyer and author of “Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department (Regnery, 2011).

Georgia college cancels classes in advance of pro-flag demo
......................................................................................................
By Rick Moran April 24, 2015

A college in Georgia that featured a protest last week where demonstrators trampled on the American flag has canceled classes in advance of what is expected to be a huge pro-flag rally.

Valdosta State University students were told that all classes on Friday, April 24 were called off because of a counter demonstration to support the US flag. The protest last week got interesting when an Air Force veteran picked the flag up off the ground and wouldn't give it back to the demonstrators. Police cited her for trespassing when she wouldn't give up the flag or leave the scene.

The same university that detained a veteran for stopping protestors from desecrating an American flag is now shutting down in the anticipation of thousands of American flag supporters.

Valdosta State University issued a statement cancelling “all classes and on-campus events scheduled for Friday, April 24.” Television station WALB reports as many as 4,000 people are expected to rally, one week after a small crowd desecrated Old Glory.

A VSU student tried to justify the disrespect of the American flag by saying, “When a slave understands his situation and understands he doesn’t want to be in slavery, he does not respect or revere anything his slave master has put in front of him.”

Air Force Veteran Michelle Manhart called the university when she previously heard about protesters planning to walk on and desecrate the flag, but nothing was done. Last week, when she heard it was happening again, she decided to do something about it.

Manhart snatched the flag from the protestors. Campus police ordered her to drop the flag, but she refused and was issued a criminal trespass and a lifetime ban from the public university.

It was later found out, according to Albany NBC station WALB, that police found a gun in a bag belonging to one of the protestors, Eric Sheppard. Police have been searching for Sheppard, but he remains on the run, despite pleas by his father to turn himself in.

Meanwhile, Manhart said she had no regrets defending the American flag.

“I have seen that flag on caskets returning home,” she said. “It was just the thought of those demonstrators standing on someone’s casket. I was so internally frustrated.”

How did that guy who fancies himself a slave get into a college - any college? Isn't there some kind of minimum level of intelligence required? If that guy was admitted, perhaps they would admit those chimps that a judge just ruled have human rights.

The good people of Valdosta are going to teach those dirtbags who trampled on the flag a thing or two about respect. But if the anti-flag protestors have the IQ of the guy who thinks himself a slave, the lesson will go right over their heads.

A large riot continues to grow violent Monday afternoon in Baltimore.
............................................................................................................................
April 27, 2015
washington.cbslocal.com

Baltimore Police say seven officers, including one who is unresponsive, have been injured.

Police have sprayed mace and used tear gas to push back riots, but a large group of teenagers is continuing to throw bricks, rocks and other items at officers.

WNEW’s Karen Adams reports police have arrested two people so far. The protests started in the area of Mondawmin Mall have spilled into nearby streets and neighborhoods.

Police say the group has refused to follow orders and the department is continuing to deploy resources into the neighborhoods near the mall. Officers are also using fire extinguishers to put out small fires that rioters started.

A police car was set on fire at North Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave. and drivers are advised to avoid the area.

Protesters looted stores including a CVS in the area.

The Mondawmin, Upton and Penn North Metro stations are temporarily closed until further notice because of the riots.

Mondawmin Mall, Lexington Market, The Avenue Market and Cross Street Market closed early this afternoon in anticipation of the protests.

The Baltimore Police Department said earlier in the day they received a credible threat that numerous gangs have entered into a partnership to “take-out” law enforcement officers.

According to the department, they have received credible information that various gangs including the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods and Crips have entered into the partnership.

“Law enforcement agencies should take appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of their officers,” the department says in a press release.

Baltimore City Schools released this statement:

At this time of tension and anxiety regarding the tragic events surrounding Mr. Freddie Gray, we have a heightened responsibility to our students, families, and school communities. First, the safety of our staff and students is our top concern. We are in constant contact with the Mayor’s Office, Baltimore City Police Department, and the City Health Department, and are coordinating with them to ensure we are ready to respond to situations as they arise. We will make crisis counselors and mental health professionals available at schools throughout the city for all of our students, and they will remain as long as it is necessary. Additionally, we have redeployed senior district staff and mobile units to assist in ensuring safe passage of our students between school buildings and bus stops. We are also communicating with each one of our school leaders around effective instructional strategies to heighten student awareness and understanding of social justice issues. We are deeply concerned about our students and community, and we hope to treat this situation not only as a teachable moment but also a time for thoughtful reflection on how we can reduce conflict and violence in our society. We will continue to be vigilant in our support for all of the city’s young people.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore closed its downtown campus at 2 p.m. after the police department’s warning. The university posted this statement to its website:

Due to reports from the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) concerning scheduled activities today beginning at 3 p.m., UMB will close today at 2 p.m. at the recommendation of the BPD. These activities may be potentially violent and UMB could be in the path of any violence. The safety of our students and employees is of paramount importance please vacate the campus as soon as possible.

T. Rowe Price in Baltimore is another business that closed early and gave this statement to WNEW:

We took this step to honor our commitment to the safety of our associates. Business continuity procedures have been implemented to ensure our operations continue uninterrupted. We expect that many of our associates will continue working remotely for the remainder of the day. We will continue to monitor the situation in consultation with local authorities.

A spokesperson for the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore said, “Posting on social media indicates the possibility of student protests in downtown this afternoon. We have no way to confirm whether something will actually happen, but we are paying close attention.”

WNEW’s Karen Adams is at Mondawmin Mall. Continue to refresh this story for updates from the scene.

Valerie Jarrett in 'Regular Contact' With Baltimore Mayor
...............................................................................................
Apr 29, 2015 • By DANIEL HALPER
weeklystandard.com

Don't worry, Valerie Jarrett is in "regular contact" with the mayor of Baltimore, the White House announced late Tuesday night.

"Jarrett also remained in regular contact with Mayor Rawlings Blake (Baltimore, MD) and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan," an unnamed White House spokesman told the media.

Jarrett, along with Attorney General Loretta Lynch, held a conference call on the ongoing situation in Baltimore earlier Tuesday.

"Earlier today, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett hosted a conference call with over 50 local leaders from across the country including Mayors Michael Nutter (Philadelphia, PA), Tom Barrett (Milwaukee, WI), Karen Freeman-Wilson (Gary, IN), and Chairman John Eaves (Fulton County, GA)," said the White House.

"During the call, Jarrett noted that her thoughts were with the family of Freddie Gray and expressed appreciation for the heroic efforts of police officers, fire fighters and community leaders joining their fellow Baltimore residents who are helping to clean up the debris and property destruction.

"She also highlighted the 21st Century Policing Task Force’s constructive recommendations that, if adopted by local law enforcement agencies across the country, would enhance community trust – including recommendations for providing training on bias, properly implementing body-worn camera programs, conducting independent investigations of fatalities,
and promoting officer safety and wellness. The Attorney General spoke about DOJ efforts to award grants to local police departments in ways that encourage adoption of the Task Force recommendations.

"The Attorney General
also noted that the Department of Justice has opened an investigation in Baltimore and is working with local enforcement, and emphasized that she looks forward to strengthening the partnership that local officials have with the Department of Justice. The two pledged to stay in touch and keep them updated on the ongoing situation in Baltimore."

Hillary Clinton is getting bombarded with new financial scandals

The author of a controversial new book about Bill and Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday that he has arranged full-time security for himself.

Asked during a Bloomberg interview if he received any death threats over his controversial book, "Clinton Cash," Peter Schweizer would only say he has "security."

"I'll just say we have security. And that security is not something that just came because we decided to have security. And we'll just leave it at that," he said.

Pressed as to whether he specifically has full-time security, Schweizer said "yes." He didn't specify what type of security he had arranged or whether he had hired a security detail.

The allegations in "Clinton Cash" have been dogging former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign since last Thursday, when a number of news outlets published critical stories that were at least partially based on Schweizer's investigation.

Schweizer's book, out May 5, accuses Clinton of distributing special State Department favors in exchange for speaking fees to her husband and for donations to their nonprofit, the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

In one of the most notable stories based on Schweizer's work, The New York Times called attention to the State Department's approval of a deal that sold US uranium-production rights to a Russian state agency. Many of those who stood to benefit from the deal, the story said, gave millions of undisclosed dollars to the Clinton Foundation at the time.

After speaking with Rawlings-Blake yesterday, Sharpton had the mayor on his MSNBC show. “You know, we want to do more than just seek justice for Freddie Gray. We want to have justice, and in order to do that, we have to respect the process and we have to work very hard to make sure that this investigation is protected,” Rawlings-Blake said of the report release timeline. “…I certainly don’t want to give people the impression that the — that our state’s attorney will have made a decision by Friday.”

The mayor also defended her handling of the case and protests.

“I’m a criminal defense attorney — you know, by profession, before I was mayor. That’s what I did. I understand the issues of police brutality. I understand the issue of police misconduct, and we are making steady progress. Is this a tremendous setback, what is happening with our city? Absolutely it is. But it’s not going to stop me from confronting these issues and making sure that we get it right for our communities,” she said.

“I’m determined not to turn this into a political issue. We have to get this right, bring peace and order and healing in our city. I’m not going to play politics with it.

Why did GoFundMe drop account supporting Baltimore cops?

....................................................................................................
CBS News ^ | 05/01/2015 |

GoFundMe.com said it has taken down the fundraising campaign for the Baltimore police officers charged with the death of Freddie Gray because it violates the website's policy.

The Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police created the page on Friday in hopes of creating a defense fund for their members involved in the case, but it was quickly taken down because according to the company, funds cannot be used for people accused of serious crimes.

"The campaign clearly stated that the money raised would be used to assist the officers with their legal fees, which is a direct violation of GoFundMe's terms," said GoFundMe.com spokesperson Kelsea Little.

THE BIG LIST OF CHRISTIAN COERCION

Here it is: Complete catalogue of 'same-sex marriage' entrapments

Dozens of cases in which homosexual activists have legally bludgeoned believers

04/06/2015 at 7:45 PM

Here’s a list of cases in which Christians have been accused of violating non-discrimination laws for following the dictates of their faith, “gay” advocates have refused to do business with Christians, or homosexuals have retaliated for a business owner’s Christian stance:

The mechanic

WND reported when a business that previously was targeted with “‘mere’ death threats” for the owner’s public opposition to homosexual behavior was vandalized.

According to a report in USA Today, Dieseltec owner Brian Klawiter of Grandville, Michigan, said in a Facebook post. “Well, folks, as we predicted, it didn’t take long for the ugly face of the homosexual movement to present itself.

“What started out with ‘mere’ death threats against myself and my family and homosexuals spamming my Facebook page with gay porn shots, has escalated to physical violence,” he wrote.

He cited slogans spray-painted on his business, on his pickup truck, and on a garage door, and a rock thrown through a window.

See the report:

Klawiter had stirred the pot of social values a week earlier when he posted a note he would decline to provide service to openly homosexual customers.

Two judges

WND reported when two magistrates in North Carolina were ordered to perform same-sex “weddings” or resign, and now are suing their state over the reported violation of their constitutional rights.

Thomas Holland and Gilbert Breedlove have sued in Wake County Superior Court over direct orders, and threats, from the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts.

They want the state to follow its own constitution and return them to their jobs with an acknowledgment that they are not required to perform weddings for same-sex duos.

The North Carolina office for the court system had said, “Magistrates should begin immediately conducting marriages of all couples presenting a marriage license issued by the register of deeds. … A failure to do so would be violation of the U.S. Constitution under the federal ruling and would constitute a violation of the oath and a failure to perform a duty of the office.”

Penalties? Possible suspension, removal from office and criminal counts, the office warned.

But the state constitution protects who live by their faith, their case notes.

Former pastor Joshua Feuerstein

The case of Cut the Cake in Longwood, Florida, is a case where the bakery, which had advertised on LGBT sites, refused to sell a cake with a biblically based message on it.

The cake had been requested by former pastor Joshua Feuerstein, who made a video of the exchange. He took it down when requested, but Sharon Haller of Cut the Cake later reposted.

He had asked for a cake that said, “We do not support gay marriage.”

Sign the petition in support of ordinances that allow Christian business owners to live by their faith.

See the Florida video:

Feuerstein said in the video, “For me, this is not about gay people; it’s about religious freedom.”

He continued, “I wanted to see if it was actually a double standard; if a gay-friendly bakery and one that advertised themselves as so on pro-LGBT wedding sites would actually bake a cake that went against their principles.”

Feuerstein later told WESH 2 Television, “You know what, I actually believe that Cut the Cake has every right as an American to refuse to print that on a cake.”

Haller complained of “nasty” phone calls and “negative gestures.” She said she lost money and she was investigating her legal options, and said the recorded phone call is illegal in Florida.

Memories Pizza

Family-owned Memories Pizza in Indiana came into the crosshairs of homosexuals when an owner was interviewed by a local TV station in the aftermath of the adoption of the state’s religious freedom law.

Responding to a reporter’s question, the owner said that while her restaurant serves gays, her Christian faith wouldn’t allow her to cater a “gay wedding.”

The restaurant immediately became a focal point of outrage toward the law, with threats of death and and destruction, causing the owners to shut down their business.

In response, however, an Internet campaign raised more than $840,000 for the family in just a few days.

Owners Kevin and Christie O’Connor said they eventually planned to reopen their doors.

Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association

The Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association was begun in 1869 to provide a place for Christian meetings and assemblies, and it still operates as one of the more popular destinations for such events on the East Coast.

It houses one of the world’s 20 largest pipe organs and there are both traditional and contemporary worship programs all summer long that have featured speakers such as Billy Graham, Norman Vincent Peale, Robert Schuller, Billy Sunday, D. James Kennedy and Charles Stanley.

But the location no longer is used for weddings, because a lesbian duo was denied permission to use it, and a state discrimination complaint was filed.

The ACLU reported in 2012 that the ruling from an administrative law judge found the Christian group was guilty of discrimination for refusing to grant Harriet Bernstein and Luisa Paster access to its property for their ceremony.

Solomon A. Metzger of the state’s Office of Administrative Law found that in March 2007, when Paster and Bernstein filled out a reservation form, the pavilion was a public accommodation. The judge determined that the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association breached its agreement to make the pavilion available to the public on an equal basis.

Liberty Ridge Farm

The owners of a Christian farm in upstate New York recently were fined $10,000 and assessed $1,500 in damages for not allowing a lesbian duo to use their land and home for a wedding.

Cynthia and Robert Gifford, owners of Liberty Ridge Farm near Albany, had allowed others to use their land for birthday events and a few weddings. But when Jennifer McCarthy and Melisa Erwin asked for access, the owners said they would allow a reception but not a wedding, because of their religious beliefs.

The state said the couple’s religious beliefs were of no account.

Administrative Law Judge Migdalia Pares said the Giffords’ home is a place of public accommodation and, therefore, is subject to the New York Human Rights law.

The judge ruled, “The fact that the Giffords also reside at Gifford Barn does not render it private.”

Masterpiece Cakeshop

The case developed when homosexuals demanded a Christian baker provide a wedding cake for their event, and he declined on the grounds it would violate his Christian faith.

The Colorado Civil Rights Commission eventually ordered the baker, Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop, to use his artistry to celebrate homosexual unions in violation of his Christian beliefs, but the case is on appeal in the courts.

A state commissioner, Diann Rice, likened Christians to slaver owners and Nazis.

Her words: “I would also like to reiterate what we said in the hearing or the last meeting. Freedom of religion and religion has been used to justify all kinds of discrimination throughout history, whether it be slavery, whether it be the Holocaust, whether it be – I mean, we – we can list hundreds of situations where freedom of religion has been used to justify discrimination. And to me it is one of the most despicable pieces of rhetoric that people can use to – to use their religion to hurt others.”

Hear a recording of Rice’s statement:

There was no claim in the case that the homosexuals were unable to get a cake, only that they were unable to get it from Masterpiece.

Hitching Post Wedding Chapel

The Hitching Post wedding chapel in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is under fire.

The city is demanding the Christian ministers at the chapel perform same-sex weddings in violation of their faith, and WND reported recently the case is headed back to court after negotiations between the parties failed.

“The government can’t tell ministers they must perform same-sex marriages under threat of jail time and crippling fines,” said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Legal Counsel Jeremy Tedesco.

“That’s exactly what the city did to Pastor Knapp and what the ordinance allows the city to do to others. In the absence of a settlement agreement, we look forward to vindicating our client’s freedom in court.”

Arlene’s Flowers

In Washington state, florist Barronelle Stutzman already has been penalized $1,001 for declining to support a same-sex wedding with her floral talents.

And the judge ruling in the case has opened her savings, personal possessions and even home up as a target for the homosexuals who wanted her artistic talents and now are claiming her assets as damages.

Alex Ekstrom, the judge, said Stutzman, owner of Arlene’s Flowers in Richland, Washington, must pay $1,001 to the state prosecutors who charged her with discrimination.

But the Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing Stutzman warned that the precedent, not the dollar figure, is the problem.

Kristen Waggoner, ADF senior counsel, said the award to Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson boils down to a government threat to Christians: “Surrender your religious liberty and free speech rights, or face personal and professional ruin.”

Stutzman was sued even though the man who filed the complaint was referred to several other willing florists and even was offered free flowers.

Ekstrom’s latest order also said the “defendants and their officers, agents, servants, employees, and attorneys, and those persons in active concert or participation with them … are permanently enjoined and restrained from violating the Washington Law Against Discrimination.”

Ekstrom also said the homosexuals, Robert Ingersoll and Curt Freed, “are entitled to an award of actual damages,” but he reserved determination of the amount until after any appeal has been exhausted.

Benham Brothers

The Benham brothers were en route to a new HGTV television show when homosexual activists made an issue of their belief in biblical marriage.

The network canceled their real estate show, which was to be called “Flip it Forward.”

Jason and David, who just weeks ago began writing an exclusive WND column, posted on Facebook a video supporting the Indiana law.:

The video explains: “So the RFRA is a shield, not a sword. It doesn’t get offensive and promote ‘hate’ as the hype said. But it’s a shield to protect companies, like, for instance, a Jewish-owned jewelry. It keeps the state from forcing him to create rings with the Nazi symbol on it. Or a Muslim-owned apparel company. It prevents the state from forcing him to maybe make T-shirts with the cross over the crescent.

“Or even a gay-owned apparel company from creating T-shirts that say Leviticus 18:22. Homosexuality is a sin.”

Very simply, “the state should never force business owners to promote a message or an idea that conflicts with their beliefs,” David Benham states.

Elane’s Photography

In a New Mexico dispute, courts ordered that a photographer could not refuse to use her talents to memorialize a homosexual wedding.

Elaine Huguenin, co-owner with her husband, Jonathan, of Elane Photography, had declined to provide her artistic talents to Vanessa Willock.

Willock, who found another photographer for the event, filed a complaint with the state under its anti-discrimination law. The state Supreme Court said the photographer had no right to not be forced to express statements through her work that violated her Christian beliefs.

Giving up one’s religious faith, the court said, was “the price of citizenship.”

An Oregon baker also was caught in the same fight, as well as several other venue owners, and there’s even the same conflict in the United Kingdom.

Brendan Eich

Then there was the case of Brendan Eich, the chief executive officer of Mozilla, the company best known for creating Firefox.

He was attacked by homosexual activists and eventually lost his position for donating $1,000 to support the 2008 Proposition 8 marriage-definition initiative that was approved by the majority of voters of progressive California.

According to WND CEO Joseph Farah’s commentary on the issue, “Apparently, according to this new litmus test of the ‘tolerance’ police, anyone who supported the popular proposition no longer deserves to work in California.”

Eich was described as a tech prodigy, “having invented the programming language Javascript and co-founded Mozilla.”

Aloha Bed & Breakfast

The Aloha Bed & Breakfast in Hawaii, a Christian business, was forced to “accommodate” two Southern California lesbians after a judge ruled the B&B violated state law when the owner told Taeko Bufford and Diane Cervelli she wasn’t comfortable having them stay together in her home due to her religious beliefs. Aloha has since been ordered by the state “to provide a room to any same-sex couple that wishes to stay there.”

Walders

In Illinois, Christian B&B owners Jim and Beth Walder are being sued by homosexual activist Todd Wathen, who demands monetary damages, attorneys’ fees and “an order directing [the Walders] to cease and desist from any violation” of the state’s Human Rights Act.

Wildflower Inn

Vermont’s Wildflower Inn paid a settlement and shut down its wedding reception business after the ACLU won a $10,000 civil penalty for two lesbians. The settlement also requires the inn’s owners to place $20,000 in a charitable trust for the lesbians.

Sweet Cakes by Melissa

Gresham, Oregon bakery owners Aaron and Melissa Klein were forced to close their storefront, Sweet Cakes by Melissa, in 2013 shortly after a lesbian couple filed a civil rights complaint against them. The Kleins declined to bake a cake for the same-sex “wedding” due to their religious beliefs. At that time, same-sex “marriage” wasn’t legal in Oregon.

In April 2015 an Oregon administrative law judge ordered the Kleins to pay $135,000 in fines to the lesbian couple for “emotional, mental, and physical suffering.” The severe ruling is an attempt to “rehabilite” and “re-educate” Christian businesses.

Just Cookies

The owners of Indiana’s “Just Cookies” were charged with “discrimination” under the city’s “sexual orientation” law for refusing to fill a special order for “rainbow cookies” for an LGBT group.

Victoria’s Cake Cottage

Iowa’s “Victoria’s Cake Cottage,” whose owner, Victoria Childress, refused to provide a wedding cake for a homosexual couple out of “convictions for their lifestyle.”

Fleur Cakes

Oregon’s Fleur Cakes joined Sweet Cakes in refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple and is being boycotted by homosexual activist groups.

All Occasion

Texas’ All Occasion Party Place, a Fort Worth venue, refuses, on religious grounds, to rent out a banquet hall for same-sex wedding receptions.

T-shirts

A Christian T-shirt maker in Kentucky was targeted by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission for refusing to print “gay pride” designs for a local homosexual group.

Twilight Room Annex

Chris Penner, owner of the Twilight Room Annex bar in Portland, was fined $400,000 under the Oregon Equality Act for excluding transsexual men who, dressed as women, had been alienating other customers by using the women’s restroom. According to the Seattle Times, 11 people – calling themselves the “T-girls” – “will get the money, with awards ranging from $20,000 to 50,000.”

Phil Robertson

The “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson, an evangelical Christian, faced a firestorm of protest after he told GQ magazine he believed homosexuality is a sin. A&E, the show’s creator, said it was suspending him indefinitely, but then a massive public backlash forced the network into retreat and he was reinstated.

Craig James

Fox Sports Southwest broadcaster Craig James was fired after a GOP debate tape showed him expressing Christian beliefs in opposition to “homosexual marriage” surfaced.

Elites acquiesce to Islam

The notion that a rape victim deserved to be raped because she was wearing a tight outfit lights up all our red lights. This is the case first and foremost because it absolves the rapist of responsibility for his crime.

Then too, attempts to blame a rape victim for her victimization infuriate us because they are substantively untrue. If men are more likely to rape women in tight clothing then rape should be all but non-existent in traditional Islamic societies. Yet the opposite is the case. Rape and sexual abuse are endemic to such societies. According to the UN, a whopping 99.3 percent of Egyptian women report having suffered sexual abuse.

Over the past few days, we have witnessed a dangerous erosion of this principle among American elites. Last Sunday two Islamic terrorists armed with assault rifles tried to massacre participants at a Muhammed cartoon drawing contest in Garland, Texas. The goal of the contest was self-evident. The organizers wished to defend the freedom of speech – and the right to life – of critics of Islamic totalitarianism.

Rather than standing with the contest’s organizers and participants, the US media from MSNBC to Fox News attacked Pamela Geller, the event’s main organizer and accused her of responsibility for the attack. For its part, the White House has refused to condemn the attack...

Al Sharpton's Daughter Sues The City of New York For $5 Million After She Fell In The Street

Daily Mail (UK) ^ | May 17, 2015 | BELINDA ROBINSON

The eldest daughter of civil rights activist Al Sharpton has launched a bid to sue the city of New York for $5 million after she fell in the street and sprained her ankle.

Dominique Sharpton, 29, said she was 'severely injured, bruised and wounded' when she stumbled over uneven pavement at the corner of Broome Street and Broadway downtown last year.
