Hi Baird,

The official release on the MGM opening came after the close:

biz.yahoo.com

Thanks for drawing my attention to the DJ article. It was very welcome news that Robinow's comfortable with 4Q esimates of $0.25 and that RAIN's 1998 expansion will be more aggressive that we thought. On the otherhand I don't think Robinow's comments on same store sales and the lack of a designated use for the $100,000,000 came off quite as he intended.

>>>>"People should look more at how much we make and what our bottom line is, and not focus so much on same-store sales," he said.
The company is planning a public offering to raise $100 million in additional capital to fund expansion. Robinow said the infusion would give the company "financial flexibility."
"We don't have a designated use of that money," he said, "but smart companies raise money in a strong market." <<<<

I would think over all Robinows comments will be treated very favoravbly once this week is history. Supposedly over 60% of mutual funds historically make their capital gains distributions this week. Barring bad news I'd expect a much firmer market next week and beyond.

Nice to hear from you again, Baird. I trust all is well and you are celebrating the solstice in good style!

Regards,
Dennis
