<<LOL!! A tax on bank deposits.. Heck, if they are going to tax your deposits. You might as well put your money in a really safe bank, and a really safe currency.. Like Switzerland.. >>

Ummm, maybe you missed it... the Swiss are ALREADY taxing deposits... put 100K over there, and you'll likely have 97K in a few years.

<Oh! That's right.. Due to FACTA.. US Citizens are turned away at the deposit window at banks around the world, including in Switzerland forcing them to keep their money in the US..>

Complete poppy cock... please list banks turning away US depositors.

OTOH the FED's ZIRP is forcing banks to charge fees and therefore end up chasing depositors away... any A-hole with an account over sees knows that the rules suck... but nobody is turned away at the deposit window if you are willing to follow the rules.

<So glad most of our funds are in Switzerland.>

Sure, sometimes its worth PAYING to have someone hold your cash... glad you are enjoying it :-))

Hopefully Swiss banks can intervene before your head is on a stick down there.... :-))
