>> I was trying to find out if you had any more insight on why these "christians" would even consider such a law...it doesn't look like you do.

Gays are looking for a reason to protest and it gave them one. It is more about furthering the gay movement than it is about the law.

While Pence, et al., are correct that tolerance must be a two-way street, it was a stupid, unforced error. There is already federal law on the books with the same effect. He stepped in it for no good reason.

Ultimately, the federal courts will decide whether religious freedom trumps the rights of gays. Perhaps we've reached a time in America where religious freedom can be dispensed with but I don't think so; most Americans continue to be fairly religious. This, of course, varies over time with economic circumstances and difficult economic times tend to generate more "believers"; the coming 20-30 years ought to make America look like Mecca.

So, no, I have no particular insight into the war between homos and religious fanatics.

"why these "christians" would even consider such a law..."

There are now examples across the country of people being forced to convert from their faith to state ordered moral code or sacrifice their livelihood for refusing to compromise their personal moral beliefs. The court system has determined this is a good course of action.

The government mandates retraining and conformity for those found out of compliance. Something you seem to support.

“They are turning people of faith into religious refugees. ... Is this the society that we want to live in – where people of faith are driven out of business?”

“This collision is coming to the forefront almost every day. Somebody is losing their liberty, their job or both.”

- Nicolle Martin, attorney, Alliance Defending Freedom
