First of all anything they report should be verifiable only then it becomes a fact else it is a rumor or speculation which reporters are not supposed to do.
If they think it was important to disseminate that ASND was contacted for a buyout and that their reliable sources indicated then that a buyout was going to happen then they should reveal their source else shut up; in absence of that heck, her source could be the Janitor at CNBC but the sheer attention the media gets moved the price unnecessarily (in absence of that news I doubt it would have moved that much).
