This law is anachronistic...the courts all over the land are finding for gay equal protection and yet here we have a law that seems to go against that overarching trend, AND goes further than similar laws in other states by allowing for profit businesses to discriminate on grounds of "religious freedom". How's that? Slanted enough for you?

.......you are full of shit regarding this law. It gives a "party" standing in court to bring a law suit or defend a lawsuit by using a religion based defense to prevent the govt (federal or state) from ordering them to do something which is against their religious convictions. The case still has to be adjudicated in a court of law and there are substantial burdens for either side of the issue to prevail. In some (most) cases, I would think that a clear case of discrimination against anyone would be decided as such. In other particular circumstances it will not be discrimination. Without this protection, a "party" of strong religious faith has NO recourse what so ever.in court. The law says do what I say.....so just shut the fuck up and obey., Here is an example.......if I were a doctor and I was ordered to perform a late term abortion, I would refuse and if sued would use a faith based defense in court.......not even religion based but a life long held ethics based belief that late term abortions are infanticide.......and I would win because the simplest way to un burden me and provide the abortion is to simply refer the women to a libtard progressive doctor who has no issue with infanticide.
