LOL!! Yeah! Well if you have your money in dollars, in a few years, you may have only 80K in realtive spending power in a couple of years.>

Of course it's been a hell of a ride for US cash hasn't it :-))

I tend to agree with you... I"m piling back into Canadian cash lately... bought some silver on this latest dip too... the moment of truth is close, does the fed "no mas"... or try even harder to destroy the dollar?? Going to be interesting.

BTW I think you are not realizing you can hold all sorts of currencies at banks here... that poor woman (boo hoo) could hold swiss francs in her bank here :-) BTW... Clearly that lady's got no cash... tell her about "private banking".... LOL, they'll have her account open tout suite! Plus if you go over as an ex-pat your company will take care of everything for you... no worries.

<While those like you PAY YOUR BANKS monthly fees for them holding you cash...>>

<<Not if you any money at all... I pay nada.>>

Plus, I've a 30 year (government cheese) mortgage (took out less just to get that tasty 30 year) that is going to be essentially worthless to my bank over time.
