Puts expire, shorts do not. I am not predicting a specific time table for the continued downward trend to a specific price, just a continued downward trend over time.

Yes, puts and calls expire, but when you're wrong they don't cost you more than you bet. That's what a short position can do. Infinity is the upward limit on voclf but the downward limit is 0, only 18 pts or so. You also want to short stocks with a high amount of liquidity which is not the case with voclf. Therefore, shorting a stock like voclf is equivalent to playing with fire.
