Lest we get too excited about this guy's comments, keep in mind he worked for Albright and Warren, too.

The title of the article says it all, "A Foreign Policy Gamble by Obama at a Moment of Truth"

The question is whether this is really something we ought to be gambling on.

I am very leary of leaders who think a "10 year deal" -- particular when you talk about arms agreements -- is something that is in any way worth doing. 10 years is the blink of an eye.

R. Nicholas Burns, who was President George W. Bush’s lead negotiator on Iran, said Mr. Obama had embraced and enhanced a strategy his predecessor began. “We’ll have to judge him by the final result, but so far, this has been a successful effort,” he said. “A good deal could prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. A bad deal could end up empowering Iran, a defeat for him and the country.”

There is never going to be a deal that will please everyone and we all know the Rs will find every which way to condemn it. In the end, I think it will contribute to Obama's legacy......in a good way.
