You all are so frigging stupid it makes my brain hurt. Anything less than 5 inches of rain per year is desert. That's the portion of CA that's red. No one lives in the red portions of the state. The vast majority of the 35 million people live along the coast which gets anywhere from 15-25" of rain which is more typical of a Mediterranean climate.
