Scott: Haven't been able to connect with MOND, but Bill answered a few questions on my machine. The small Ryder truck sized box is very old and no longer manufactured. Have moved on to bigger and better more profitable products. The busses were to transfer workers to site from a common parking area. Doors are being left open at night when material arrival is at its peak. He will verify that. Lots of orders & price going up. More later!

Scott: Finally connected with Bill Surphlis last night, he tracked me down as I was having no luck going the other way. It sounds like everything is moving along great, just as hoped and expected. Product price is up, production of trailers is up, their goal is 5 per shift and their budget based production is 4.5 per shift. They exceeded their budget based limit on both lines in November and actually met the goal of 5 per shift for each of the 20 working days.

The best news that he had was a quality improvement stat, up to October they had 49% of the product coming off the line that was "customer ready" and that was increased in November to I believe he said 76%. That is a major improvement!

Managment is conservatively planning for $0.10 earnings per share for 1998. They'd rather outperform their projected earnings than have to make excuses for not meeting them. They have a European wing, MOND Ukraine, they are shipping the boxes unassembled for the Nort American assembled price. Looking for an opening to European market. Containers are how the whole word moves freight.

With 4th quarter earnings report in March they expect to start promoting the company more. With relocation and and retooling and reorganization the focus was on making the business return to profitability. With that accomplished we can expect to see some positive press!!! Your January bounce coupled with GOOD NEWS in March can't help but crank up share value. My personal target is $4.00 by the end of 1999.

Bill seems computer literate, but they have yet to jump on the Internet Opportunity Band Wagon. They need a web site to help market their products and to keep shareholders up to date. It has been discussed and I'm hoping they will realize the value of it sometime
soon.

I'm sure that if you called ahead they would be glad to tour you around the plant. Regular business hours end @5:30pm both times Bill called me back it was around 7:00pm so you know he's dedicated and not a clock watcher. Once everything consistently operates at 100% I hope he'll slow down. They have more exciting plans that he didn't know if he could discuss at this point but hope to hear more about sometime in the near future. I'm sure you'd get more than your monies worth if you were to call him yourself.

Good luck in '98 with all your investments and may all your MOND make money!!!!

JOE
