WOW Nancy. I hadn't heard the 39 scud missle story! Got any more information on that? What a witness that is.
As a kid, I heard the 2nd Coming of Christ preached so much, that I use to go to bed wondering if I'd ever see morning. Then as I got older and began to study these things for myself, I definitely came to some conclusions.
I have always felt the generation and "fig tree" signs were pivotal in this whole thing. Without a Bible software program and with most of my books in storage, plus the aging process, I haven't begun to do the "digging" I use to do. We have down-sized (first a 5th wheel now a small 2 br house in the woods and "toolies") so---when I have to rely on memory, it is obviously flawed.
I believe it is in Job where a mention of a certain number of years for a generation; then somewhere in Psalms is another indication. Perhaps in Deut. is another. The wanderings in the wilderness for 40 years is another indication.
In any event, 1948 or 1967 are the key years. Since 1988 is passed, we must either count from 1967 for the 40 years or consider 50, (Jubilee)75 or 100 years for 1948. Am I making any sense? I use to have this all down "pat."
