Sorry but I've just demonstrated from the Bible that you are wrong. God is the one who brought the Gentiles into the Church through Peter shortly after the day of Pentecost. It was only after that when Paul came on the scene.

Since as you admit, Luke was a protégé of Paul, he would have known and would have eagerly given Paul the credit had it been warranted.

Paul was an educated Roman among illiterate Jews. Jews, including Paul, were the most literate people in the Roman empire. Credit the Maccabean queen Salome, the Pharisees, and Jews being people of the book. If your religion is based on a book, the religion will teach everyone to read so they'll know the book. That's what happened with Christianity too, especially after the invention of the printing press. Christians started schools and universities so as many people as possible could be educated and read the Bible for themselves.
