Here is a cool voodoo poem that started the first annual
Rendition Holiday Poetry Contest.

I once was a man who hated Voodoo.
I thought these cards were doodoo.

Oh how I dreamed of the next Falcon, Longbow, and Quake too.
Anticipation of the next Wing Commander made me turn blue.

And then they were released, but this can't be right!
The weaknesses of my RIVA are brought to light.

No smoke trails, no lens flares, slower framerate, oh my.
I was in such despair that I just wanted to cry.

I love the ideals behind Direct-3D,
But too bad it's only philosophy.

So then I thought Bill Gates must die,
Since he is the man behind this crappy API.

I told everybody that I have AGP.
But in truth this means nothing to me.

So what, you may ask, did I then do?
I bought 3DFX, and my RIVA became the passthrough.

People were cruel, mean, and called me a traitor.
And a villain I became, just like Darth Vader.

No more PowerVR, Riva, or Verite I say.
Voodoo makes me happier with each passing day.

And now comes a new card, a new card, oh my.
I hoped I'd have my Voodoo until I die.

So, now, there's only one thing left to do.
I must throw out my Voodoo and get Voodoo-2.

I'm not a Voodoo salesman, but have just seen the light.
And once you see a Voodoo game running, you'll know I'm right.
