Arun, that's the way I read it, too, but more a guess than an insight. Did you notice in the May 97 research report that each base station takes two master clocks? This total market may be a bit bigger than I've been figuring.

By the way, I'll be in California on a vacation for about a week in February and will try out the competition's Hertz car nav system. The Hertz operator said they have it in all their mid-size models and it was "very popular." (You can see why a rental market would be especially good for this product.) Avis only had a car nav system in an Olds 88, which is a premium cost car. So Hertz it will be.

Re: Circuit City. They also resell used cars, although it's presently a money loser, and plan to expand that operation. Today's news said they had $611 million in car sales for I think the past three quarters. This is an obvious tie-in to the car nav aftermarket.
